RODI STYLE

"Rodi Style is a name to watch for 2007. Not only is he one of the most talented new DJs in hard dance, his productions aren't half bad either. A massive hard house romp on offer here on the new Toolbox offshoot label Toolbox Choons" - Trackitdown www.trackitdown.net on "Rodi Style - Beat goes on". Featured hard dance track April 2007

"Had the pleasure of meeting this geezer at the weekend in Calgary, and was stupified by his technical ability. Some of the stuff I saw this guy do with a CDJ and a DJM 600 is wrong!" - Technikal (UK) (www.tidy.com forum)

"he is one of the best up & coming talents I have seen in a long time. His djing is perfect & his productions are awesome too!" - Ben Stevens (UK) (www.dontstayin.com interview)

"Playing truly banging hard dance with a flair and skill I've not seen in a LONG while, I can honestly say that this is a DJ you really ought to look out for. Great scratching, chopping and sampling techniques thrown in for good measure, this guy pulls out all the stops and is a real crowd-pleaser." - Chris C (UK) (www.bangingtunes.com forum)

"Rodi is awesome, one of the most technically gifted DJ's you will ever see, believe me, he had me & Technikal in awe, get down there to see him, great lad too!" - Digital Kid (UK) (www.dontstayin.com forum)

"By far hands down the sickest dj I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of talent but nothing like this. He has got to be the CDJ champion of the world! I don't think there was one button the cdj he didn't push! He used just about all effects on the mixer in the sickest ways. Not mention his mixing and scratching on 3 cdj's was fuckin phenominal!!!" - Plate Tektoniks (USA) (www.bangingtunes.com forum)

In the past 5 years, Rodi Style has grown from one of Calgary’s leading DJs into one of North America's leading Hard House/NRG DJs and producers. With over a hundred gigs in Canada as well as stops in the UK, USA and future gigs in Australia & New Zealand, Rodi Style has made a name for himself with his harder edge style of music, scratching, tricks and original productions. His music has been played by some of the biggest Hard Dance DJs in the world including Lisa Lashes, Justin Bourne, Anne Savage, Ben Stevens, Paul Glazby, BK, and Proteus to name a few. As well, his music has appeared in the hard dance sections of Mixmag & DJMAG magazine. His rise in popularity over the few years has allowed him to share the stage with DJs such as Johan Gielen, Armin Van Buuren, Yoji Biomehanika, Kai Tracid, Uberdruck, Judge Jules and many others.

In 2002 and 2003 Rodi Style received a sponsorship to Evolve Clothing Ltd. immediately after his first gig and local production companies Apollo Productions & E-walk Bookings were quick to sponsor this young DJ shortly after. Along with regular DJ bookings, Rodi Style also took an active role in the Calgary music scene founding Litte Productions Ltd. Dedicated to organizing dance events with top international DJs, Litte Productions LTd. was fortunate enough to bring in artists such as Ayla/DJ Tandu, Michael Parsberg/Safri Duo, Fragma, Johan Gielen, DJ Dean, Caroline Banx, the Thrillseekers, DuMonde, Guyver and many others to Calgary. Rodi Style held a residency on www.netmixradio.com and was broadcasted live to over 2000+ listeners on his show "Rodium" every Monday.

2004 was an exciting year for Rodi Style. The winner of Vicious Circle Recordings and www.netmixradio.com’s songwriting contest with his Hard House track "Crazy", Rodi was placed onto the Vicious Circle promo mailing list alongside DJs such as Anne Savage, Paul Glazby, Andy Farley, Lisa Lashes and many more. Rodi Style was also given the great honor of being a label DJ for Brain Damage Recordings UK, joining a roster filled with talent such as the Testube Babies, Marc Johnson, Casper, Ben Stevens, Alex Calver and Aftermath. Not only that, but Rodi Style signed his first record contract with Hard Sounds to release his “Messing with your mind” single which went on to receive support from DJs such as Justin Bourne, Ben Stevens, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, George E, Kam Pain as well as many others.

2005 was absolutely insane for Rodi. With another track "Crazy" signed to Twisted Traxx, a remix for Operation 9 records, 3 tracks on Passion Records including his first double header, and Simon Eve mentioning Rodi Style as one of the producers to look out for in his interview on www.harderfaster.net, 2005 was a busy year for this young DJ/Producer. Ending 2005 with a bang, Rodi Style captured the spot of "Best Local Trance DJ" (there was no hard dance category) & "Best Local Producer" on the local electronic music forum www.electrocalgary.com. Rodi Style was also voted #2 in the "Best Newcomer DJ" category on the www.bangingtunes.com forum.

Raising the flag for Canada in 2006, Rodi Style rapidly gained popularity with his ever increasing discography and high energy sets. 2006 also marked an important year as Rodi Style signed onto Infectious Recordings as one of their international residents alongside Marc Johnson & Devious Minds.

2007 and going strong now, Rodi Style has enjoyed even more success with his productions. Joining the long list of established producers on Toolbox Recordings, Rodi Style's "Mood Killer" was released with great expectations and met it full speed with a number 2 spot in the bangingtunes.com chart. With 13+ signed tracks still waiting for their release dates, there is no sign of stopping in the production front. Along with the productions, Rodi Style has been keeping busy on the DJ front with gigs all over Canada as well as his recent UK tour. With a memorable headlining performance at the UK's number 1 large hard dance club (as voted by the 2007 Hard Dance awards), Rodi Style showed 2500 strong that hard house is very much alive in North America.

On the side Rodi Style is also one half of "Leung & Wan" (www.leungandwan.ca), an outlet for the creative minds of both Rodi Style and Status Wan(www.djstatuswan.com). Being influenced by a diverse range of music and culture, Leung & Wan produces tracks focusing on captivating melodies. Already receiving worldwide recognition, their first track "A still moment" caught the attention of Michael Parsberg (of Safri Duo) and undergone a remix by the Danish producer/DJ. "Leung & Wan - A Still Moment (Michael Parsberg remix) has now been licensed to 6 CD compilations including "Tunnel goes Ibiza vol. 4", "Time Tunnel vol. 4", "Trance Parade 2", Tunnel Trance Force America 2, Deep Trance vol. 7, and "Technics DJ set vol. 13"! As well as landing their track on 6 CD compilations, Tunnel Records (germany) also signed the original "A Still Moment" as well "Memories" which feature's the vocals of Leung & Wan's singer Jessica Chung. This Leung & Wan E.P. released in September 2005 along with Tunnel Record's residents DJ Merlin & C-Bass' remix of "Leung & Wan feat. Jessica Chung - Memories". Now totalling 9 compilations with their tracks including "Coming Down" the future is looking very bright for this DJ team.
